(More customer reviews)I bought this for my new 20" LCD and I am very pleased. I was looking at the Omni Mount, which is about the same price. There were a couple of bad reviews for that one so I tried this one. I am glad I did. I am sure that is a good product, but this has a much better design. Unless the wall stud you are mounting the mount in is exactly in the middle of the spot you intend to mount the TV, you won't be happy with a cantilever type mount, pushed back flush against the wall, the cantilever mount will always rest the TV exactly where the stud is. This product allows much greater flexibility. The TV can be "offset" from the mounting base on either side so that you can center it on the wall when flush. It also does not have the "drooping" issue the reviews for the cantilever mount mentioned. The mount is very well made, I think it weighs more than the TV, and is attractive. If you want, you can even hide the wires in the tubes of the mount. My only complaint, mine didn't come with the mounting screws, but for less than $1.00 I bought them at Home Depot. I am very pleased and strongly recommend that you consider this mount for your TV.

(More customer reviews)When I bought my plasma TV, I shopped around for a wall mount. I was amazed at the pricing--most were over $100 and ran all the way up to $300. Since I only paid $499 for the TV I was not going to pay $300 for the mount.
When I found this item on Amazon, I was sceptical that it would do everything and more that the higher priced items would do (actually it does more---it had 40 degrees of action, where most others are only 30 degrees).
It was easy to put together and is made of quality materials, there is nothing cheap about it. I am very pleased I found this product and can highly recommend it.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this mount for a Samsung 52" LCD TV. The mount comes with a wide variety of bolts, nylon inserts, etc. all nicely packaged and clearly labeled. It did not have specific instructions for the relatively new TV model that I purchased (and I was disappointed that the installation guide on the web site hadn't been updated, but then again, they did have the PDF on the website so I won't mark them down for that), but the instructions overall were clear and it wasn't hard to figure out which bolts and nuts were the correct ones. Mounting the bracket was also easy, but I lucked out and had two well-placed 16" studs and hit them on the first try (my luck with stud finders hasn't been stellar). There are several ways to use two 16" studs, but I'm not sure if 24" would be quite as easy. It also holds the TV close to the wall (about 2" of clearance), which is a plus, but that also makes accessing cables on the back of the TV a bit difficult. With a helper, it's easy to lift the TV out of the mount. I just went ahead and hooked the required cables up before hanging the TV.
Now that the TV is mounted on the wall, it is solid and I don't have any concerns about it falling down (note that we do not live in earthquake country but it would have to be an extreme quake to dislodge the TV). Be aware that this mount does not tilt, which is perfect for our application (the TV is at eye level). And the current price is fantastic, since it's $149 at Fry's Electronics (where we purchased the TV).
So I'll give this five stars at the $60 price because it does exactly what I needed, inexpensively -- just be sure you're not expecting a tilt mount.

(More customer reviews)This product is very strong and very adjustable. It is perfect for my 55", 25 lb. LCD-LED TV. The mount can hold a great deal more weight than my TV. It has enough extension and swivel capability, that I can swivel my TV a full 180 degrees in either direction, which is extremely useful to me. When I'm not using it as a TV, I'm using it as a second monitor for my PC, so swiveling it towards my PC is essential. Plus, the extra extension is great. I keep my entertainment center credenza about 16" away from the wall, so there's ample space for all of the wires, power strips, UPSs, etc. that spill out the back. To accommodate, I pull the TV out from the wall to center it over the credenza, both front and back, and side to side. Truly an excellent TV mount. I am thoroughly impressed.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the "Tilt and Swivel Wall Mount" for my Panasonic 42" plasma and was somewhat apprehensive but soon after it arrived I simply drilled the wall with a small diameter drill to locate the studs and used the lag bolts provided to solidly mount this to the wall. If you use a level to make certain that the mount is placed appropriately and bolt the vertical brackets to the back of the TV it's a simple matter of lifting and "hanging" the TV onto the articulating quasi-pantograph plate of the wall mount. Put simply it's an easy item to install and I highly recommend this unit as it's very strong and handles this heavy TV very well.

(More customer reviews)I wanted to mount my 42" panasonic plasma on the wall but the reviews of articulating wall mounts left a lot to be desired. The reviews of articulating wall mounts talked about it being difficult to level the screen and control the tilt. I couldn't imagine the shear stresses in attaching to a wall and then pulling the tv away from the wall to rotate the screen. The stress on a wall mounting bracket and attachment system must be unbelievable. There was a 4-by ceiling joist about where I wanted to have the tv to rotate. This looked like a good solution. My son and I mounted it in about 20 minutes. It will take a little thinking and planning ahead of time. The instructions are not a great help. I did get some stainless steel lag bolts, just in case, but the lag bolts in the kit work. Use all four lag bolts to properly distribute the load. Because the bracket is 4 inches wide and my joist is 4 inches I used the four in line center mounting holes to reduce the chance that the lags would split the joist and pull out by mounting too close to the edge of the joist. The mount works great. It will take two to mount the tv in the mounting bracket. I needed to remove the two upper screws of the table stand so I could remove the table stand after mounting the tv on the ceiling mount. Leave the table stand on when you mount the tv because if you need to remove the tv for some bracket adjustments, the tv will not stand on its own and you will need someone else to hold the tv up. Setting the screen level is not a problem with this mount, though the tilt angle will change through its rotation because the weight of the tv changes the angle of the down tube as it rotates in the ceiling ceiling bracket. The down tube adjusts to the center of gravity of the tv on the tv mounting bracket. This is acceptable. The bracket allows the down tube to adjust to the pitch of roof by swinging about 30 degrees in one direction from perpendicular. Set the swing in the right direction. When the screen is not parallel to the joist the down tube will swing away from the tv and the tilt will change but the screen remains level. My fear of having the tv pull the mount out of the 4-by joist is slowly going away.

(More customer reviews)I've had the swivel mount for a few weeks now and I'm so glad I purchased this model. It was an easy set up and does everything its supposed to. I was a little leary to put our 42" 60lb tv on it up in the air, but once we got it all set up it was the best decision I'd made. I was thinking of just buying an angled mount without the extension capabilities, but that would have been such a pain to get all the wiring hooked to and hidden behind the tv. With this set up we are able to make easy cable adjustments, and either pull the tv out, angle it further up or down and push it back to the wall to give it a more fit look. I strongly sugges purchasing this product and would buy it again if I needed to.
