This REVENA Swingout/Articulating Wall Mount for 19-40 Inch Flat Panel HDTV Displays (DCM-SA1940) is a great value! It is sturdy and works exactly as promised. It was a cinch to install, and holds my new 32" Bravia just fine. I love being able to move the screen around to see it from the armchair, the desk, or the exercise bike.
The only issue I have is with all that movement, the wires need to be able to move too, or they'll be hanging out all the time in an unsightly manner. To help with this, we took five minutes and tied up the wires into a bundle, then looped them up with a bit of elastic cord, and tied that to a shower curtain ring affixed to the arm of the unit. This way the wires can come and go when they need to without my having to look at them.
At half the price of similar units, I would DEFINITELY buy another one of these when needed!

A great little digital TV with a crisp, clear picture. Perfect for traveling or in case of a power failure. The remote is almost too small to be useful, and I was a bit disappointed with the battery life when fully charged (about 1.5 hr.). All-in-all ... the best presently on the market.

I received my tv with a damaged panel. Thankfully, Samsung provides free in-home repair for their products through their authorized repair agents. It was a good experience, relatively hassle free, and now the TV looks as good as it should have to begin with. It has all of the basic functions that you'd look for, including 2 HDMI and 2 component inputs, and a host of picture settings. The sound is fine but not thrilling, and chances are it's a bedroom tv (my situation) or you have a surround sound hookup through the digital audio out. I am very pleased with the depth of the blacks, as at 8,000:1 the contrast ratio is as high as many plasmas were just a year ago. The color accuracy is quite good (once you do some calibration to your tastes) and the dedicated brightness setting helps you customize it to the brightness of the room you are in. I haven't noticed any false conturing nor any motion blur, as the refresh rate is also good. Though maxing out at 1080i/720p, at this size the extra dollars for 1080p are really wasted. Save your money there and get a 19-in LCD for the kitchen! My simple, yet favorite, feature is the input recognition. No cycling through all possible inputs to get to the one you want; only active inputs come up when cycling through your sources. Nothing really negative to say... other than the lag between turning on the set and getting a picture, but that is a common LCD trait. The TV's design is attractive, has all of the features you really need, and was a really reasonable price (thank you Lightning Deals!). I recommend it.

In regular stores, it's evident from a glance at large-screen TV accessories that they're top-heavy with markup. I hate paying fifty bucks for cables when I can go online and fine the same cables for $20 or less. Likewise with the wall mounts: a hundred-dollar price tag for only about twenty bucks worth of hardware. That's why I bought this: I just wanted something that would keep my cool new TV from getting knocked over by the kids.
THE GOOD:
- The low price is a fair value for what you get.
- Some of the included hardware was not too bad.
THE BAD:
- No instructions. (They do include a drawing of what the finished thing is supposed to look like, and you can pretty much tell from that which parts are supposed to go where.)
- Description says bubble level included, but where is it? (There was a slot in the wall mount body, and some jagged pieces of clear plastic at the bottom of the box. I'm guessing that that was the remains of the level, originally built into the wall mount itself. Which could have been handy, but unnecessary if you have your own basic tools.)
- Included hardware did not fit my TV. (TV mounting screws were too long. If you're installing a wall mount, see your TV owner's manual to make sure the screws you're using are the right size. Too short, and they won't hold up the TV. Too long, and you'll destroy the screen by punching holes through it from the backside.)
- Included hardware did not fit my wall. (The big lag screws were adequate if you're mounting directly to studs. If not, the included plastic anchors for mounting on drywall looked flimsy and untrustworthy for anything over 5 pounds. If you're mounting on drywall, plan on a trip to Home Depot.)
- Construction of the mount is only adequate. (It's just a powder-coated stamping of low-gauge steel. Sony recommends a mount that holds 4x the weight of the TV; this thing is only rated at about 3x. I chose to live with the lower margin of safety because once it's installed, there's not going to be any further stress on the mount: it's not like it has to flex or be cycled through additional loads. But I found myself wishing that the steel had been a little heavier gauge.)
OVERALL: It's not pretty, it's not great, but it gets the job done, and it's cheap. Better instructions and hardware would have been nice. Grade: C-minus.

I have been through 5 tvs in the pass month (Insignia,Emprex,Sharp and Vizio) and this tv is on par with the Sharp brand. Great picture quality, great styling and for the fraction of the price of the Sharp. All I can say is I am happy now.

Enjoy the crystal clear imagery of high-definition television with the 37-inch Zenith Z37LZ5D LCD TV, which features built-in analog/digital/digital cable tuners (NTSC/ATSC/QAM) that will receive free over-the-air HDTV signals (ATSC) and HDTV signals from a cable connection (QAM). More than just a high-quality TV, the set's PC inputs also make it equally suitable for home offices. It also incorporates IPS (In Plane Switching) to prevent distortion to brightness, contrast, and color when viewing the TV at a wide angle. It comes with a table-top stand (optional VESA-compatible wall-mounting kit available).
This LCD TV provides a 1366 x 768-pixel native resolution for a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio for optimal letterbox movie watching and compatibility with 1080p/720p/480p/480i HD formats. It also offers an extra-wide 178-degree viewing angle, super-fast 8ms (millisecond) response time that's great for watching sports, 600 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and 1200:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.)
The Z37LZ5D performs 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal, too--a handy feature for watching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format. To adapt 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video, frames in the original movie must be duplicated; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this duplication by removing the redundant information to display a frame-accurate picture. A 3D comb filter further enhances resolution by removing blurred edges between colors and reducing dot crawl (tiny, moving dots of color along a sharp color separation in a vertical line, as in a depiction of a character's striped T-shirt). Other convenience features include three modes of color temperature adjustment, seven modes of aspect ratio adjustment, custom channel labels, on/off and sleep timers, V-Chip parental controls, and tri-lingual menus (English, French, Spanish).
The 30-watt stereo audio system (two 15-watt speakers) delivers ample sound for sports and movies, and it can also provide SRS TruSurround XT virtual surround sound. It offers the following video and audio connections:
Composite AV (RCA) In: 1 (1 rear, 1 side)
Composite AV (RCA) Out: 1
S-Video In: 2 (1 rear, 1 side)
Component Video In (Y PB PR): 2
HDMI In: 1
RF In: 2
VGA PC input: 1
Optical Audio Out: 1
PC sound (1/8"): 1

Tech Talk HDMI -- HDMI makes an uncompressed digital RGB connection from the source to the screen. By eliminating conversion to an analog signal, it delivers an unblemished image. The non-degraded signal reduces flicker and leads to a clearer picture. HDMI intelligently communicates the highest output resolution with the source device. The HDMI input is fully backward compatible with DVI sources but includes digital audio. HDMI uses HDCP copy protection.

Ok I don't know where to start, as far as pieces go everything ever needed is included as far as mounting different Tv's. The top bracket tilts for use on a vaulted ceiling however you can't get the screw tight enough to stop the tilt, which makes the tv look like it's taking a nose dive. The joint where the bars meet the swival bar is for junk, it bends alot at this joint, and no it's not supposed to bend. It hooks to the tv wonderfully, however the tv seams a little top heavy. We have the back bracket up all the way (on our 50 inch tv) there is a tilt divice but it is NOT needed because the tv tilts/pulls away from the top of the bar. The bar is in no way straight up and down. The tv sits at a tilt of more than 15 degrees without the tilt device tilted any. The 360 degree swival works but as you turn the tv around the bar freaks out and makes you think the tv is going to hit the floor. I would not purchase this again, and now we have nothing to hang our Tv. I guess the biggest mistake in the design are the bars, there just not right. Sorry cheetah company but I just couldn't give this a good review. However if you reemburse me I'll give you as a company a good review.

The ceiling plate for this mount swivels a full 90 degrees. This allows you to place the plate IN your ceiling and mount it to the side of a ceiling beam. The pole then drops from the plate and passes through a 2.5-Inch hole that is cut in the drywall of the ceiling. When you look at the ceiling you will see no more than a 2.5-Inch hole with the ceiling mount pole extended down. With cable management ability, the poles conceal all wires and cables. This same mount also accommodates vaulted and angled ceilings. This is a complete kit including the ceiling plate, extension pole, TV mount, TV mount adapter, installation instructions and all necessary hardware. The APLCMB is the best ceiling mount available on Ebay for Flat Panel TV\'s at an affordable cost.

Samsung LN-S4095D 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV Review

Samsung LN-S4095D 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV
Average Reviews:

Ordered this TV from Amazon on Sunday night October 22. It was delivered on Thursday, October 26. It came direct from Amazon and had free shipping. It's strange, sometimes Amazon has it, and sometimes it's available from a 3rd party. In any event, I paid $1,999 with free shipping. The delivery was prompt and arrived in excellent condition.
My son works with ESPN as a Technical Director and he helped me select the TV. He's a technical whiz at this stuff. We visited several stores and looked at various makes. He was trying to steer me to a DLP but I didn't like the narrow viewing angle and it would not have suited my room. I originally wanted a 42" plasma but discovered I had to stick to a 40" since my TV room is somewhat small. We finally narrowed it down to Toshiba, Sony, & Panasonic. Because I needed a 40", I had to go to an LCD or the Panny 37" plasma, which to me was too small.
Not sorry I went LCD. I has no screen glare or burn-in problems, although I understand the plasmas now have the burn-in under control. And, it seems I sacrificed nothing as far as the picture quality goes. We finally chose the Samsung. The Samsungs have it over the other TV's in the same price range both for features and picture quality. We were almost going to get the LN-S4092D, but then we saw this model which has 1080p capability. While not being used now, it is a feature for the future. Also, look for a unit with dual HDMI inputs. You may not need both now, but you will like it later.
When you go into a store, first thing is to tone down the TV's you're looking at. They have them cranked up to max contrast & brightness. Usually the sets will have a "movie" viewing mode. Change it to that. If they don't have that, cut the contrast and brightness to at least 60-75%, the sharpness to 10% or less, and the color temp to a "warm" setting. That will tone it down to a good level tha will allow you to see the TV's real capabilities. Then, have the salesman put a real SD signal through it. Not a pre-recorded looped signal that splits the screen HD/SD. On some of those they exagerate the SD bluriness to make the HD look better.
This Samsung has a great SD picture. Yes, it's not HD, but it's very acceptable and not much worse than my old CRT TV. The HD picture is fabulous. I am in NJ and we have Comcast Digital cable with a DVR. I was watching the World Series last night and when they had a close up of the pitcher, you could count his wiskers. The side-to-side viewing fades a little when you get too far, but it's not real noticable and who watches from that extreme angle anyway? The swivel stand helps.
The sound is good TV sound. It's not home-theater quality, but it's good. It has a built-in graphic equalizer so you can customize the sound you like. The other thing that I liked about this TV is the limited surround. It made the overall size a little smaller than the other 40" units which helped me out considerably as I mentioned earlier. And the gloss "piano black" gives it a classy look. Nicer than the silver. I didn't give it a 5 rating, because I just got it, and to me nothing is perfect. There is always room for improvement. But, I love it. A great choice.

There are two key things that make the Samsung LN-S4095D way ahead of most widescreen LCD TV models: 1920x1080 Resolution and 6,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio. Look at the specs of other models. You'll see 1366x768 screen resolutions and contrast ratios of about 2,000:1. First, 1366x768 screens can only display 720p and 1080i HDTV modes. Only 1920x1080 can display optimal 1080p HDTV. At a 6,000:1 contrast ratio, this LCD flat-panel screen can bring out better black and white tones thany virtually any other LCD on the market. If you decide to use this screen with your computer, the resolution and imaging is superior to virtually all TV models and most computer monitors. This has both NTSC analog and ATSC digital TV tuners. The ATSC can already receive free over-the-air HDTV broadcasts (when used with an optional HDTV antenna). So if you're considering an upgrade to widescreen and HDTV, why go for the middle when you can go all the way to the HD ideal? 1080p is where it'll be. This 40" LCD from Samsung can do it - with the best picture possible. This wall mount amazed me with the hardware included. Every screw that could be used with a TV out there was included. It was simple to install and does the job, why pay a lot more for a similar unit. It doesn't let you tilt the TV, but if you just look for a mount that allows you to hang your TV flat on the wall, this is the unit to buy. I used it for a 32" LCD flat panel.

I have been doing research on a new TV for months. Choosing the size was the easiest part based on the space I wanted to fill. Room is very bright, so LCD was the likely choice; although I didn't rule out the new Panasonic plasmas with their anti glare, but they are lacking in picture adjustments. The Samsungs are all generally too reflective. I saw the new Sony W5100 and started watching that model. I was waiting for some reviews to read some opinions, but it was too new. I had decided to go with the W5100 based on the price, energy efficient, and the fact that I had read that there really wasn't a discernible difference between 120hz and 240hz. Choosing the sony brand was based on the fact that netflix will be available this fall, and that I have a PS3. I finally decided on the Z5100 because I saw it in the store and noticed the bezel was nice and thin, and that the tv speakers pointed forward. Most flat panels' speakers point down, so I figured it would help when watching broadcast tv to have the speakers pointed forward. Not the most 'scientific' method of selection.
I am very happy with this TV. The picture is great, the sound is great, no issues with glare, the internet content works (although I am still waiting for netflix, I did get an Amazon credit for VOD to try out), and the PS3 looks amazing.
My suggestion to anyone researching a new tv is to really nail down your requirements first, then choose some models that fit, and finally narrow it down from there based on features. Then head to a store to really look them over. I found myself almost getting too caught up in reading reviews. I found many negative points that, in retrospect, were very nit picky, so don't get too caught up; if you notice, this model only has positives at this point. I was also comparing energy usage figures on crutchfield. Most energy tests are based on a minimum of 6-8 hours of usage per day, which I don't do. If you avoid the Vivid mode and stick to standard or cinema, you will be fine with energy usage.
Amazon's price was perfect; I had been watching a handful of tvs for a couple months and monitoring prices. The delivery was ok. The package was damaged on one corner, as if a fork lift had punctured it. The tv has a tiny little nick that is only noticeable if you run your finger ever so slowly along the bezel. So it wasn't big enough to send it back.
If you decide on this tv, you are making a great choice. I haven't calibrated it yet, but may do so when cnet posts some numbers.

The dirty little secret when buying consumer electronics is to not buy them when they first come out, because there are bound to be bugs and defects among the first units manufactured. The manufacture is bound to discover these problems, make the necessary correction(s), and the subsequent lots should not have the same issues. This Vizio model is no exception.

I too have had the audio problem, where the audio distorts after a set amount of time. When I went to exchange it, I made sure the replacement was from a different lot than the first, that way I am bound to get a unit that shouldn't have the same problems as what I had before. My new unit works perfectly. For reference my first unit was made on 11/09 and my new unit was made 02/10.

Vizio has also made several firmware updates between the two sets I tried out. The first TV had version 2.06 and the second 2.13. I have no idea what improvements were made, but it could relate to the audio problem.

What I like about this TV is that since it has a glass panel, the image resembles what a HD CRT would produce. It really smooths out the picture and gives a better image quality that a matte finished LCD panel can't deliver. A typical LCD TV can produce a sharp picture, but at the same time it looks a little hazy to me. You certainly can't get a glossy panel for a TV of that size anywhere that I know of. If you like the look that a CRT TV or a plasma gives you will probably like this TV. I am also surprised that Vizio was able to deliver a LED TV at this price point.

I also really like the styling of this TV. It has the appearance of a high-end TV, something like what Bang & Olafson would produce. An the fancy touch panel controls are a nice touch. I would like to purchase a 27" or 32" of this same style of set, but unfortunately Vizio only makes this style in in 19" & 23".

The sound, if you get a properly working unit, is quite good. It looks to me Vizio put a smaller version of their HD sound bar into this set, because the SRS Surround technology really expands the sound coming from the TV. I didn't find the sound to be "tinny" at all. As others had reported the sound quickly goes from silent to loud.

The remote control only has one IR emitter on it, so if you are fairly close to the TV you need to point it toward the IR receiver to work properly. If you stand back a few feet, then you should have less problems. You best bet is to use a universal remote control (like the one provided by your satellite of cable provider), because many of them have at least 2 IR emitters giving you a wider range for transmission.

This TV also features a light sensor that can automatically adjust the picture in relation to the light in the room. Be aware you can't use this feature at the same time as the 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio feature. For me the dynamic contrast ratio feature works better for me.

For some reason Vizio doesn't advertise the fact that you have the ability to pause live TV (like a DVR), if you plug in a flash drive on the back of the TV. This TV also can play a play a slide-show of pictures on a flash drive.

For those that already own this TV and are unhappy with it, I would encourage you to exchange it at the store of purchase or have Vizio replace it. No one should have to live with the defect(s) if Vizio corrected it in later runs.
**UPDATE: I have seen that several other retail outlets are no longer carry this product, it appears it is being replaced by a more conventional design, that lacks the glossy screen. If you are interested in this product, be sure to get it as soon as soon as possible.
**UPDATE 2: Vizio as released a firmware update for this product (version 2.23), if you are having problems with this prodcut, be sure to download it. It may correct your issue.

I purchased set from Sam's Club in August and enjoyed it tremendously until it was stolen this week in a burglary. I see it's $798 now (I paid $898 for 1st set). I'm so pleased I'm going to buy it again. No cons.
Be sure to record the serial number of all valuable sets - I didn't and cannot provide to police .

No tv out there can match the Toshiba for the price and quality of this unit. I went around to the various stores, CC, Best Buy, Etc. and for the 720p/1080i 37 inch lcd's , this was far the best. The color ratio is outstanding with a 12,000:1. I was thinking of going with a 1080P, but for tv under 37 inches i was repeatedly told the human eye wouldnt be a able to tell much difference. You cant go wrong with this LCD!

I purchased this tv on sale for $449. For the price, I'm very satisfied with the picture and overall quality. The sound is okay, but I will probably add surround sound soon. The tv takes about 6 seconds to power on and I cannot program for cable remote - minor annoyances. My tv had no dead pixels, no damage from shipping and was quick to install. I'll probably upgrade in a year or two, but my tv completely went out on me and I didn't want to drop $1,000 so this tv will get me by quite nicely.
