I purchased the "Tilt and Swivel Wall Mount" for my Panasonic 42" plasma and was somewhat apprehensive but soon after it arrived I simply drilled the wall with a small diameter drill to locate the studs and used the lag bolts provided to solidly mount this to the wall. If you use a level to make certain that the mount is placed appropriately and bolt the vertical brackets to the back of the TV it's a simple matter of lifting and "hanging" the TV onto the articulating quasi-pantograph plate of the wall mount. Put simply it's an easy item to install and I highly recommend this unit as it's very strong and handles this heavy TV very well.

I wanted LED for four reasons: light weight, low heat, low wattage, and great picture. The 40" Sharp Aquos LED exceeded my expectation for all four. There is absolutely NO heat emitted from the unit. It weighs only 30 pounds. The picture is the BEST I've ever seen in a TV -I'm not kidding here- the BEST. I waited about 6 months to post this feedback, thinking something might go wrong but no problems at all.
My folks bought a 50" Plasma at the same time and they've had a horrible time with heat coming from the TV; seems to heat the whole room (though that would be a nifty option on cold winter nights). Additionally their TV is extremely heavy and not easily moved. Their picture is nowhere near as good as mine.
I believe this TV is underpriced, and a very good deal. I ordered through Amazon, and the delivery & installation was extremely good.

Average Reviews:

Pros: Attractive unit, decent sound, great size screen, comes with stand and wall mount (most tvs don't come with wall mount).
Cons: Non-HD signals look pixellated. My Direct TV digital satellite feed looks very good, but there are image artifacts that result in occasional blurriness or distortion. It is a minor annoyance. My progressive scan DVD looks excellent, but still not perfect. (I do not have an HD signal as of yet, so I can't speak to how this looks). The manual is pathetic. The INPUTS/OUTPUTS are very weird. My 20" Sony Wega LCD has all that it should, but for some reason, Phillips was really on drugs when it made this unit. In order to get the progressive scan quality, I CANNOT simply connect using a Component cable; instead, I have to use Phillips supplied hybrid cable. In fact, when I first tried the component, I got no image whatsoever... just sound. And although it looks like they have a multitude of imputs, several "share" a slot. It is very weird. And I simply don't understand a TV being built without AUDIO OUT. Speaking of Audio, the unit sounds just fine, exhibiting good volume and separation. But as I try out the different equilizer modes (Theatre, Music, Personal, etc.), I can detect no difference whatsoever.
While I am happy with this TV, I feel that it is overpriced for what it offers; moroever, I feel it is advertised as having more than it really does. This unit would be a reasonable purchase for three to five hundred less (which I'm sure it will be next year). The Sony Wegas and Sharp Aquos are superior, but much more expensive.

Average Reviews:

Pros: Outstanding, crisp HD picture; excllent color contrast; solid response time
Cons: Slight pixelation with poor quality SD signal
"After doing a huge amount of research, I finally settled on this set. I was actually interested in the slightly lower-priced Toshiba Regza, but every store in my area was out. While shopping around, I noticed that this Samsung in particular seemed to have a top-notch picture. Finally I decided to take the plunge 3 days ago, and I have not been disappointed at all. In the past I have had several issues with LCD TVs, which is why I had been hesitating up to now. I know these issues are on many people's minds, and so I will address each one:
.
Motion Response
-----
First, and most important, is response time with fast motion. I am driven absolutely nuts if the TV can't "hold" the motion (that is, if the image smears, or fractures, when high speed elements are zooming across the screen). The element you are looking for in an LCD monitor that tells you about this is "response time", and you want something 8ms or below. I believe this TV is 6ms (the specs say this on Sammy's website, but several stores have it listed as 8ms). In any case, this TV "holds" the motion of even fast images extremely well. In the store, it held motion best of all comparably priced models, including the Sony Bravias around $1k, and the Sharps around the same price. When I got it home, I tested it out with Star Wars ep. 1 and the battle sequence from Narnia. Both looked outstanding using a regular DVD player with HDMI upconvert to 720p. You will not see ghosting issues with high def images.
.
Color and contrast
------------
Color fidelity and contrast are also important to me, and LCDs have been known to have issues producing deep blacks and bright whites. This is not a problem for this set. It produces excellent color, and did so right out of the box with the factory pre-sets. I have not had to fiddle with it at all. I did try switching to "Cinema" mode, which has some nice characteristics, but even without that, everything looked amazing.
.
Standard Def rendition
----------
Another major issue with LCDTVs and monitors is that anything not displayed at the native resolution tends to look blurred or "fractured". I was very concerned about this because I have lots of old DVDs of shows like Seinfeld and the Simpsons, which I know were never broadcast in HD. Also many TV stations have not yet made the switch (though most have). Here the TV was about as good as I have seen, though it is not perfect. The good news is that upconverted SD sources like the Seinfeld DVDs look excellent -- every bit as good as on a regular TV, if not better. The bad news is that your VHS tapes are going to look blurry and pixelated on a set like this. I don't have a lot of VHS tapes left, and so this isn't a huge deal. Regular SD sources with this set vary in quality. For example, the SD version of Animal Planet had a special on the other night that almost looked HD. At the same time, flip channels to CNN, and it looks terrible. I suspect this is the broadcast quality and NOT the set... otherwise all channels would look awful in SD. So when you get a nice SD source being broadcast, it looks fine.
.
I would highly recommend this set. After connecting my HD cable box today and watching things like CSI:Miami, Vegas, and Miss Congeniality, all in widescreen HD, I can say that I am totally blown away by this set's HD performance. I don't think you'll be able to find a better HD TV set for the price."

I purchased this LCD TV originally from a rental company new. When I saw the item listed here I grabbed another one. This TV is easy to use and has a great picture. You can even use it for a computer monitor and TV at the same time. There are two models of this TV---W2600 and W2600C. The difference between the two is that the "C" model does not have a slot to install an optional card reader (avaiable from DELL only). Has all the connections you could ask for. You can't go wrong for the price.

With an optimal viewing distance of four to 12 feet, the wide-screen, high definition-ready W2600 26" LCD TV is large enough for dens, large bedrooms or even a living room. The W2600's bright display delivers 450 nits of luminance and a 500:1 contrast ratio that produces an outstanding image, even in well-lit rooms. The W2600 TV also delivers a truly outstanding audio experience. Integrated stereo speakers with 15 watts per channel power the system, and SRS TruSurround XT provides advanced technology available for delivering virtual surround sound over a standard, two-speaker system. There's no need to invest in a multi-channel sound card or additional speakers to thoroughly enjoy 5.1 multi-channel soundtracks for movies and music. Dual analog tuners provide the capability to view two channels simultaneously, and the system supports full Picture-in-Picture capabilities including Picture-in-Picture (PIP), Picture-on-Picture (POP) and Picture-by-Picture (PBP). The W2600 TV makes a beautiful addition to any room. Its sleek profile is less than four-inches thin when wall mounted. It also comes with Dell's new Stratosphere finish that uses piano black speakers and a satin chrome finish to create an elegant appearance that will add to any home décor.

I just got my TV last Friday and it is everything that I have expected. Unlike the first reviewer on this site, I have not experienced the overheating issues (fingers crossed). If you read his review he did admit the TV was great until that started happening. I just hope I don't get the same issue.
On to my review:
I spent over a year and a half researching flat panels. I came close to purchasing a Samsung 71F series, but when the salesman told me that new 2008 models were coming out in March, I decided to hold and do more research on those models. I almost purchased the 5 series, but when I found out that it does not have 120hz refresher rate, I decided to research the 6 series and ended buying the 46A650.
I briefly looked at the 7 series, but when I found out the only difference between the two was that the 7 series has a USB port for your MP3 player and 1 GB of cache, I figured it was not for me. I use a dock connected to my receiver when I play my MP3, so to me that was a useless function to fork over extra $$$ for. In addition, I have a PS3 so I don't really need the 1GB of cache to use the TV as a multimedia center. If you don't have a PS3 and plan to use your TV to view pictures and play music then the 7 series might be for you.Pros:
I have the 46" and I was amazed at how light it was. I was able to pick it up by myself and put it on the stand. The red is absolutely amazing. That's the favorite thing my Fiancée likes about this TV. Personally, I like the red because it is very subtle and goes great with our family room.
The first night we got it we watched the movie Ratatouille on Blu-Ray Disc. Let me tell you after watching the movie my jaw was sore because I think I spent more than 3/4ths of the movie with my jaw open from the amazing picture. The picture was so clear and concise that we paused it and we were able to even see the little freckles on the mice throughout the movie, including the separate hairs.
As I said earlier I play video games with my PS3, so the 120 hz refresher rate was critical to have. MLB the Show 08 is insane. Just looking at the players faces and even the fans blew me away. My brother has a 46" inch Vizio 1080P and he recommended it to me saying that there is not much difference from the two so I am better off saving. Let me tell you, he is absolutely wrong. I've watched his Vizio and to be honest, it can't even hold the jockstrap of the 46A650 if it was a male. There is a big difference believe me. The only TV that could probably match-up to this one is the XBR Bravia with 120HZ. That would've been what I would have purchased if I had not gotten this one. Up until now, I have absolutely no regrets.
The reason I researched for over a year and a half is because I wanted to get a TV that if something new came on the market a few months later, I would not regret my purchase. I feel very strongly that I will not regret this purchase down the line.
I love having 4 HDMI inputs. This was very important for my purchase also, since I have separate HDMI components. The TV also has an ethernet port, so I have it plugged into the internet. I can get weather, news and stock quotes through it. I'll admit, I haven't used it much, but it's nice to know, I can check the temperature at the touch of the button.
The blacks on this TV are awesome and I can have my curtain open on my huge family room window and I can see the tv clearly during the day. I love the TruSurround feature, since right now I only have two speakers and a subwoofer. This feature is meant to improve the sound quality for people who use two speaker systems. I plan to get a surround sound system eventually, but it's going to be a while. That's where this tool comes in handy
The screen is glossy, but I don't have an issue with it. I like the glossy look and besides, it is meant to make the colors more vibrant and intense. I've played with the different viewing modes, but actually, I like standard the best. The movie mode is a little too dark for me and the game one is a little too bright. Standard mode is my desired preference.
The remote is oddly shaped and takes a while to get used to. It also has an ipod like scroll. Some people complain that it is an ugly remote. This is ridiculous; I'm sorry, but I did not purchase this TV for its remote. Anyway, I'm planning on upgrading to an RF Logitech remote this summer anyway.
Cons:
The TV is so good that on the tv stations with weak signals, you can see the weakness of the signal. On some you could see the lines and imperfections, due to having a weak signal. That is only a with a few channels. It's a negative, but that's what you get when the picture is very detailed; You will not only get the good qualities, but the bad also, if the signal is not strong. Regardless, that issue will be moot next year when the tv stations will be required to broadcast by digital signal.
Another issue is, that when you turn it on it takes about 3-4 seconds to pick up my digital cable signal from my DVR box. In addition when you switch between sources it takes around the same amount of time to pick up the signal. I'm impatient, which is a negative quality of mine. In our household, it seems like it is an issue only with me, since it does not bother my fiancee at all or any of our friends. Maybe it would not be a con if I was not so stupidly impatient.
Those are really the only two issues I have with the TV and to me they are very minor ones. I just pray I don't start getting the issues, the first reviewer experienced.
Overall:
I am very happy with my purchase. I am very satisfied and do not feel guilty or have any regrets about making this purchase. Up until now, I feel this TV is worth every penny I paid for it. I'll be updating my review as I learn more about this TV. I hope my review helped you, even if it was only a tad bit helpful, before making your investment on a flat panel television. Good luck with your search.

This TV is 120Hz...the info contained in the review about 60Hz is incorrect. I bought this TV elsewhere on Black Friday and cannot be more pleased with the image and overall quality of this LG. This television litterally makes almost everything you watch on it appear to be happening right in front of you. I original bought 4 other televisions on BF (a 26" Vizio LED, a Toshiba 40" LCD and a Samsung 46" LCD) and this had the best picture quality of them all...so much so that I returned the other two larger TVs. The Toshiba had a brighter picture but couldn't match the "right there" look of the LG. The Samsung had a nice picture quality but the backlight couldn't bring up the details as well as the LG in darker scenes, but overall it had an excellent picture. In the end though the LG won based on the eveness of the color. So to summarize...2 of these LGs and a 26" Vizio LED later (ironically the LG remote works for this TV and vice versa - LG probably makes the panel and tuner for Vizio)...I couldn't be happier!

I was skeptical about this mount because it was so inexpensive. I received it today and it is a real bargain. I was mounting a 40 inch Toshiba LCD TV. It is very will made and well finished. It includes an assortment of screws to fit all TV's and detailed instructions. I can't imagine what would make any other mount worth paying more. It would hold virtually any weight TV since it can be mounted using lag bolts into studs.

Will This mount Fits my Plasma TV? First, check the weight of your TV. It must be less than 165 lbs. Second, look at the back panel of your TV. If your TV has 4 holes or 6 holes on the back of the screen , measure the vertical and horizontal distance between the holes, as shown below. If the vertical distance is within 2.95" - 14",horizontal distance within 18", then this bracket will fit. If you currently have a stand attached to your LCD TV this is usually removed prior to fitting the wall mount. Third, the width of your TV should be 20" above. Otherwisie the mount is too wide to hide behind your TV.

I have been waiting for quite some time to buy a new tv. Originally I planned on getting the 40" Z series last year. But when the new models came out this year, the 40" W series offered everything I was looking for a little bit cheaper price. It has a good looking profile and was a snap to set-up. I used the Cheetah tilting mount that I also purchased from amazon. Don't let anyone fool you. The Cheetah mount is just as good or better than the expensive mounts. I already had a ps3 so the XMB menu system was very familiar. This is a great tv for the money.
The only con I can think of is that the remote doesn't have a 1 button sleep timer. You have to go through the menus.
BTW: Amazon did a great job. I order TV on a Thursday and the following Wednesday the tv was hanging on my wall. Nice Service.

Sony Bravia V-Series KDL-40V4100 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV Review

Sony Bravia V-Series KDL-40V4100 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV
Average Reviews:

I have the V-Series Sony 40" LCD set immediately preceding this model. Based on my experience with the earlier model, I've recommended the KDL 40V4100 to friends and family. The differences: 1. When the 40V4000 first came out, it was being sold for as much as twice the price of this one; 2. the previous model had 10- bit color processing (which now is available only on the more expensive Z or later series). Although 120Hz is now the rage (available beginning with the W series), Sony's unique 24 fps Movie True mode is likely to make a more noticeable difference in "smoothening out" camera movement than 120Hz capability (which is primarily a come-on for the gamers and "Matrix" generation).
For under $1500, this is the set I would unhesitatingly select ahead of a comparable Samsung (you can get the price down to around $1000 if you go with the S series, but you'll sacrifice Sony's acclaimed Bravia 2 processor as well as Sony's auto-link feature permitting operation of all components with a single switch). If I were willing to spend close to $2000 or more, I would look at a 46"-52" Sony with 120 Hz (just to be current) and 10-bit color processing for a hi-def picture that simply leaves nothing to be desired. I would also do everything possible to purchase from Amazon. (I had to make two exchanges before ending up with the "right" model, and Amazon as usual made both hassle-free transactions.) Also, be sure to check out Amazon Warehouse for a "refurb" or "scratch and dent" model. I've never been disappointed in any of these items at reduced prices, or even noticed any difference from mint.
A couple of things learned through experience: 1. A flat-panel set does not "play" as large as the old tube models. If you formerly required a 27" convection tube screen, you'll need 32"-40" to enjoy a similar viewing experience with an LCD flat screen. 2. When watching HDTV telecasts (still only a small percentage of channels), it's quite likely you'll notice little to no difference from standard definition if the screen is less than 40". So if you're planning on purchase of a 36" or smaller screen, skip the extras. 720p is more than adequate, and most of the other frills can be regarded as needless extra expense. Also, SD (standard definition) will look better on any small screen than on the most expensive manufacturer's large screen models, so make price--not brand name--the primary criterion when selecting a screen under 40".

Sony Bravia XBR KDL-32XBR4 32" LCD HDTV Review

The XBR4 has blown my socks off. On display at the electronic store it actually looked worse than my other LCD Samsung LN-3241D. After fine tuning and adjusting the picture, whether it was recent non-HD DVD's or HD content, with the 120Hz Motionflow, Pixar's Toy Story looked 3 dimensional, and the colors were nothing I had seen before from this DVD. I am so happy with this purchase and the higher price tag is well worth it. I also watched a streamed Netflix movie (Amadeus), using the PC input, and the movie quality was ok. With the Samsung the streamed quality is noticeably not as rich in color and a bit grainier. I Recommend this LCD TV. Sony is definitely the leader in high end TV's. P.S. I am not a Sony fan boy, I am still angry about the root kit found on their CD's.

The Sony BRAVIA XBR KDL-32XBR4 32-inch 720 LCD Flat Panel HDTV continues Sony's tradition of making outstanding televisions. The display features a 32-inch screen that is perfect for a smaller room. Sony does not hold back with any technologies, and the XBR series is its flagship line--so with the XBR, you know you'll get the best quality home theater experience available.
Top-Notch Video Performance The XBR KDL-32XBR4 is a 720p television with a display resolution of 1366 x 768 resolution for a sharp HD picture. The KDL-32XBR4 uses the HDMI connection, which houses both audio and video signals in one connector and has the bandwidth to support the data necessary for the high resolution. Sony's Bravia Engine Video Processing System converts all video signals to 720p, so you can watch all your old DVDs on this glorious display.
Sony complements the high resolution with the latest technology in color reproduction. The KDL-32XBR is a 10-bit display with 10-bit processing. Most panels are only 8-bit. The added bit depth here means a larger color palette for more faithful color reproduction and smoother transitions from one color to the next. Additionally, the display features a special WCG-CCFL backlight that, combined with Sony's Live Color Creation system, achieves more natural and vibrant color.
The KDL-32XBR4 features Sony's Motionflow technology, which automatically adjusts for and applies the proper processing for optimal motion reproduction depending on the video input. This includes support for 24 frames per second (24p) video, which displays video content at the 24-frames-per-second rate at which it was originally filmed or recorded. With 24p, you get the most faithful possible reproduction of the original.
A Wide Variety of Inputs This Sony television's wide variety of inputs ensures compatibility with your other home theater components. There are three HDMI connections for Blu-Ray, HD DVD, and other technologies requiring the high bandwidth, and two component video inputs, three composite video inputs, one S-Video input, one PC Audio and Video input, two RF connection inputs, and five analog audio inputs. Even with a collection of legacy components, you shouldn't have a problem connecting to the KDL-32XBR4.
Stunning Looks The KDL-32XBR4 not only displays stunning video but is itself a head-turner. It features Sony's unique floating glass frame along with a black bezel that can be interchanged with optional color bezels to match the display to your decor.
Outstanding Ergonomics and Simplicity of Control Sony's Xross Media Bar interface is an award-winning, intuitive on-screen display that makes setup a breeze, with menus and controls logically laid out for quick access. The KDL-32XBR4 also features Theatre Sync technology, based on the HDMI-CEC standard, which means you can easily connect to and control compatible devices. For example, when the KDL-32XBR4 is connected to a compatible DVD player, you can turn on both the DVD player and the television and start playing a DVD with a single push of a button on the remote. When you're done, another push of a button powers everything down. With Theatre Sync, you can spend time enjoying the movie rather than waste time setting everything up.
Cutting Edge Sound Using a set of Sony algorithms, the KDL-32XBR4 is capable of generating realistic surround sound from just the two speakers in the TV. With Sony's S-Force Front Surround technology, you can have surround sound no matter the shape or size of your room.
The KDL-32XBR4 is backed by a 1-year limited warranty for parts and labor.
What's in the Box KDL-32XBR4 32-inch LCD flat panel HDTV, remote control, 2 AA batteries, AC power cord, operating instructions, online registration card, quick setup guide, warranty card, table top stand, and support strap.

Pay close attention to the fact that while it accepts HD 1080p input, it's maximum output is only 480 lines, which makes for a very low resolution image, certainly not HD. I've personally seen this projector sold in a white van scam under the name VisionMax. The scam artists attempt to convince victims that this projector is nicer and worth more money than it really is. Avoid this thing.

First things first, THEY FIXED THE AUTO-CONTRAST! I have nothing but good things to say about this TV. Do not be fooled by the 1 star ratings. All those 1 star ratings complain about the auto contrast/brightness feature which could not be turned off, but SONY FIXED IT ALREADY in the newer units or a software update via sony.com will add the controls to turn the function off.
With that biggest gripe fixed, this TV has outstanding visual clarity and the color saturation is beautiful. Black levels are excellent on this non glossy screen. You can't go wrong with a Sony and the software update shows they are listening to their customer base. No dead/stuck pixel, great viewing angles, 120hz refresh is great for sports, but in my opinion, not for movies. Excellent TV, I would buy another one of these without hesitation, superior when compared to the other brands that offer the same features. The Bravia V series lives up to the Sony name and quality standards you would expect. Deserves all 5 of the stars it's rated.

I have had a Westinghouse 1080p 42inch monitor for a few years and have really been pleased with it. However, with the new features on the market (120hz, 24p, etc) I was ready to upgrade. I initially ordered a Samsung LN46A550 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV. The picture was actually really good on this set, but the glare on the case was VERY annoying. It also lacked the features I was looking for in a new set, but I tried it out because the price was so good. The glare was too much to put up with, so I sent it back and started to research Sony's since they are one of the few sets on the market that you can still get without a glossy case.
I sure am glad that I found Bravia Z series! WIthout going up to an XBR, the Z series is the way to go. If you look at the specs - most of the high end features offered by the XBR are already in the Z series, so it is a really good value when viewed that way. It makes sense why the Z is not offered in a 52 inch size - it would probably really impact sales of the XBR. What a great looking TV (both the picture and the case). I have been extremely impressed with both the blacks on this LCD as well as the vivid colors it produces. The amount of picture calibration offered on this setup is remarkable - especially compared to my old Westinghouse. I find the 24p mode on Blue Ray disk to be quite impressive - it really adds a whole new level of enjoyment to watching Blue Ray movies. The 120hz mode is also wonderful when watching football. I really cannot say enough good things about this TV - spend the extra money that the Sony brand demands, and you get what you pay for.
Although I did not have the issue with this TV, there is a lot of discussion around the Internet about a sparkle issue that this TV has. Be advised that this was an issue, but Sony has released a firmware update that resolves the problem. I have done the update and everything is running great.
If you are on the fence between this and the Samsung LN46A650 (which is in the same feature class as the Sony), be aware that the Samsung has a very glossy screen - not to mention a sure to be dated red outline on the case. This really kills one of the great features of LCD's! The only Samsung I would even consider against this Sony is the Samsung LN46A550 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, but it lacks 120hz, 24p, and has that hideous glossy case. It seems to me that there is no viable competitor to the Sony Bravia Z-Series KDL-46Z4100!
Another side note... When my TV was delivered they also picked up the Samsung for return. The delivery guys were telling me that they have to pickup Samsungs EVERY day because people are returning them. He said they have never had to pickup a Sony. This is proved if you look at the used/new link under the Samsung and Sony's - you will see tons of open box Amazon Warehouse Deals on the Samsungs - but none on the Sony's!
