(More customer reviews)Bought this TV for the bedroom. It has a fantastic picture and great sound quality. One great feature is the automatic picture adjustment based on the room ambient lighting, saves having to mess around with the picture when you flip on the side table lamp. Also the factory color presets actually support the intended display, example: cinema setting looks more like film.
The only thing this set doesn't have that I would have like is an IP/Ethernet port. Otherwise I am extremely happy. Plenty of HDMI ports too.

(More customer reviews)Well I saw this tv on sale and I just couldn't let it slide. I had been looking for a second tv mainly for ps3 and computer use. I currently own a 23" samsung px2370 which is amazing however its just not big enough for me so I decided to try out this bad boy. First off I went to go check it out at my local box store and it looked great 3mil:1 contrast, 2.4 ms response, led backlit, usb 2.0, and its super slim with a nice cabinet. The main thing I noticed when I was at the store was how nice and uniformed the color looked and the angles of the tv were great. I bought the tv off of amazon straight through them with free 3-5 day shipping I believe it was and I actually received it in two days. I plugged in the tv and connected my playstation and head on it seems okay but not what I remember seeing in the box store and the viewing angles are horrible. If I am not right in front of the tv the colors almost look washed or worn out. I did some research on it and figured maybe it was something I was doing wrong maybe I had to calibrate the screen or something? No sir, unfortunately what I found out was that LG put different panels in these tv's some have what are called IPS Panels (IPS Panels are the nicer panels and is what I saw in the box store) and some have VA Panels (what I bought on Amazon, not saying its Amazon's fault its just LG not putting the same panels in all the le5300's). I am very displeased with the way LG could do this. Thats like porsche making there cars with hyundai parts. It just doesn't make sense that they could do that, I mean there should be some kind of regulations council to prevent companies from doing stuff like this.I am now hoping that Amazon will let me return the tv and refund me all my money. I would have love to gotten the one at the box store when they had their sale, given it was about 50 bucks more but at least I would have known I was getting the one I wanted. I also found out that the tvs that have the IPS Panels have a W in the serial number or if you have a magnify glass or a camera you can zoom in and see that the pixels of the IPS panels are shaped like this < while the VA panels are shaped like squares. The IPS panels are superior, offer better viewing angels, and better coloring. So all in all this tv is a steal if you can get it with IPS panel.

Very pleased with the number of ports (we used to have an old CRT with just ONE component input, so we got used to switching cables all the time). We don't have HD cable yet, but man this TV upscales very nicely, I was very afraid that standard def TV would look like crap. But yea, when using my PS3 it looks absolutely amazing. I was also worried about 60Hz, I almost wanted to move up the 120Hz but as a casual user, I don't think I'd even notice the difference.
The USB port on the side is very handy, and supports a surprising number of file formats! Not quite VLC, but way more than I'd expect to be built into a TV. We keep an external HDD hooked up to the side and keep all our media on it, it's like a built in media center!
For the price, it's definitely the best TV out there.

LG 37LE5300 37-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED LCD HDTV Review

(More customer reviews)I had VERY high hopes for this TV...i bought it from Amazon and the first TV was shipped with prime (UPS delivered) and the box top was opened when I received the unit. It appeared it had been a return, as the inside styrofoam was somewhat broken up...but this review is about the TV, not the delivery service. Picture Quality was not good, and I realized I had a received non-IPS panel (check the AVS forum on it or google "le5300 panel lottery")...it turns out that LG uses both IPS and non-IPS panels in their models below 42". Now I've seen people on here get the IPS panel in this 37LE5300...but I wasn't so lucky. The large, white sticker on the box read 37LE5300-ASUDxxx...which means the unit was a non-IPS model. Had the sticker read ASUWxxx...it would have been an IPS panel...which is a top of the line screen. I returned the TV (amazon customer service was top-notch) and they overnighted me a replacement unit.
Turns out the replacement unit was another AUSDxxx model and we refused the delivery...I don't want a crappy version of an amazing TV, that's not what I paid my money for. I'm very pleased with Amazon's amazing customer service though, but I'm extremely disappointed with LG and the way they conduct business. It's a crapshoot if you order online, I realize that now, but you couldn't beat the price at $699.00 with free two day shipping. Now the TV is at $[...] but it doesn't make sense for me to buy it, knowing I've already lost the panel lottery TWICE. I'm really disappointed with my experience, but I know Amazon is not to blame here, just the TV and their company. I'm happy for those customers who received the IPS panel, because they actually got what they were supposed to be paying for.

(More customer reviews)The Vizio SV421XVT, is a very nice 42 inch lcd TV. With 120hz refresh rate, and 240hz scenes per second, this television offers depth perception found only in high end LED TVs.
The picture quality and black levels are very nice. The smooth motion is very visible and beautiful. Although we had to return 2 televsions to Vizio because they came with Stuck Bright Pixels, we are still very pleased with the TV over all.
I would not recommend buying a Vizio from Vizio directly. The swap out of the units we had with Stuck Pixels with Vizio was a long painful process, but that does not take away from the picture quality of this unit. I would suggest going the route of Amazon or Wally World when purchasing, no questions asked returns.
I updated this review and have shortened it greatly to focus back on the quality and performance of this unit.
Amazons customer service is great, but PILOT delivery is bogus, it is not white glove and they are liars.
That being said, I would recommend the SV421XVT to anyone wanting a good quality LCD at a reasonable price.
It does not come with the bluetooth remote, no apps, no wifi, no 3d, and it does not hold a mega contrast ratio in the millions, this is a late 2009 model LCD, but at the current Amazon asking price, it would be perfect for the standard families everyday use.
Deep blacks, little to no judder, bright whites, and crisp accurate color. 4 stars.

(More customer reviews)When I read some of the other reviews here and elsewhere, I see that their expectations for this TV were a little unrealistic when it comes to using it as a computer screen. Before I bought it through Sam's for $698 (deal is off now, but probably will be back for Christmas), I researched it completely. The Internet Apps right now are OK, but more will come that will be exciting in the future through automatically downloaded firmware updates. I was told by Vizio that eventually, it probably will have the capability to Wi-Fi what is on your computer screen to this TV. But, as for now, I'm very happy with the picture quality and size of this TV, as I watch it from a 10 to 15 foot distance away. Like someone else said, it is not too big, and not too small. When I watch HD Theatre channel's travel/nature shows, the picture quality is close to a Blue Ray's quality, IMO.
Oh, the lower amount of heat that comes off, and the less electricity use than my 2 1/2 year old Sony Bravia S-Series KDL-32S3000 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV that went bad, are great buyer benefits! Sony wanted me to take that tv to an authorized Sony repair shop and pay $50 to find out why the picture went out with no guarantees that they would pay for parts and/or labor to fix it. I thought it was throwing good money after the bad $900 that I had paid for the TV. So, on my new 37 inch Vizio, I bought Sam's 3 extra year extended warranty for $79.96 after reading the "fine print". No extended warranty is perfect, but Sam's was the least offensive, IMO.

(More customer reviews)This little LCD hasn't got the credit it deserves, (3.5 stars ??). We got this LCD to replace a 15 year old 26 inch RCA tube TV in our bedroom. We were contemplating a 26 inch LCD, but decided to go with the 22 inch. We are very big fans of all TVs Panasonic; 1 plasma, 1 TAU and now 1 LCD. It has beautiful imagery and great sound. The menu is very intuitive with many options to fine tune the picture and audio. Speakers are just fine for a bedroom. The docking system is great. Our room is 12x12 and I can't believe these reviewers that put a 42 inch TV in their 12x12 bedrooms. Way too big. With the lights on the TV appears small but the picture is so clear and crisp it makes up for it. All text is very easy to read from 10 feet away. With the lights off you would be hard pressed to guess it's only a 22 inch. If you need to upgrade a TV for your bedroom, this TV is an excellent choice.
